Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead and expand our business operations across Odisha. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributor networks, developing new markets, leading the sales team, and achieving regional revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Sales & Business Development
Drive overall sales growth across Odisha.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Identify and appoint new distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
Expand market penetration in existing and new territories.
Ensure availability of products across all key markets.
2. Team Management & Leadership
Lead, guide, and motivate the regional sales team.
Monitor team performance and ensure achievement of individual and regional targets.
Conduct regular market reviews, sales meetings, and training sessions.
Recruit, train, and develop field sales personnel as required.
3. Distributor & Channel Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and key customers.
Monitor distributor performance, inventory management, and payment collections.
Support distributors in achieving primary and secondary sales targets.
Resolve channel-related issues effectively and promptly.
4. Market Expansion & Competitive Analysis
Identify new business opportunities and emerging markets.
Analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends.
Recommend suitable sales and promotional activities to increase market share.
Gather customer feedback and provide market intelligence to management.
5. Customer Support
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
6. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Review sales performance, market coverage, collections, and stock movement.
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales data.
Ensure compliance with company policies and reporting standards.
7. Travel Requirement
Extensive travel across Odisha (18–22 days per month).
Conduct regular market visits and distributor reviews.
Key Requirements
8–15 years of experience in LED Lighting, Electrical Products, Wires & Cables, Switchgear, Home Appliances, or related industries.
Proven track record of handling entire state operations and managing sales teams.
Strong distributor network across Odisha will be an added advantage.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
Strong understanding of channel sales, dealer development, and market expansion.
Ability to analyze sales data and drive business growth.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in handling the complete Odisha market.
Experience managing a team
Strong network with distributors, dealers, and electrical trade partners.
Capable of delivering sustainable business growth and building high-performing sales teams.
