PHP developers are responsible for developing back-end components for web pages and server-based applications. They develop and write the PHP code, connect the application to third-party services, and assist front-end developers with integration issues.
When interviewing PHP developers, the ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of PHP frameworks, good problem-solving skills, and knowledge of front-end technologies including JavaScript and HTML5. Be wary of candidates with limited project-management skills and those who are unfamiliar with code versioning tools.
