Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Manager
Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and driving sales operations across multiple headquarters, with base location at Patna. The candidate must be experienced, result-oriented, and capable of handling a team to ensure consistent sales growth and target achievement across the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Management & Target Achievement
    Drive overall sales performance in the assigned territory
    Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
    Monitor territory-wise sales and take corrective actions when required
    Focus on consistent growth and market expansion
  2. Territory Handling
    Effectively manage multiple HQs including Patna, Siwan, Motihari, Sasaram, and nearby areas
    Ensure strong market coverage and doctor reach in all locations
    Develop area-wise strategies to maximize business potential
  3. Team Management
    Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Medical Representatives
    Conduct regular field visits and joint working with team members
    Track daily work (DCR), call average, and productivity of the team
    Ensure discipline, performance, and development of team members
  4. Business Development
    Identify new doctors, chemists, and stockists
    Build strong relationships with key customers
    Increase prescription generation and product visibility
    Ensure availability of products across all HQs
  5. Strategy & Execution
    Implement company sales and marketing strategies effectively
    Execute promotional campaigns and doctor engagement activities
    Provide regular market feedback and competitor insights
  6. Reporting & Compliance
    Maintain accurate reports (sales, expenses, MIS)
    Ensure timely collection and control outstanding payments
    Follow company policies and compliance standards
    Key Requirements
    Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 1–2 years in a managerial role (ASM/Team Leader)
    Qualification: Graduate (Science/Pharmacy preferred); MBA is an added advantage
    Candidate Profile:
    Experienced and capable of independently managing territory and team
    Strong focus on sales management and target achievement
    Ability to handle multiple headquarters efficiently
    Good leadership and communication skills
