job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Network Support Engineer to provide step-by-step guidance to US-based clients on troubleshooting and configuration over the phone. The ideal candidate will be proficient in network systems, troubleshooting techniques, and have the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical users clearly and efficiently. The role requires flexibility in working across US time zones to provide exceptional support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to US-based clients over the phone, assisting with network-related issues and configurations.
Guide clients through troubleshooting processes step by step, ensuring they understand each action taken.
Configure and set up network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) as needed, providing instructions to clients to implement configurations on their own.
Analyze and diagnose network issues, offering solutions and support for resolving performance problems, connectivity issues, and other network-related concerns.
Maintain clear communication with US clients throughout the troubleshooting process, providing updates and ensuring the customer understands each stage of the resolution.
Offer advice on best practices for network performance optimization and security.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation and knowledge base articles related to common network issues, configurations, and solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Network Engineers, IT support staff) to resolve more complex technical issues and ensure client satisfaction.
Continuously improve knowledge of networking technologies and support tools.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Network Support Engineer or similar technical support role, with experience troubleshooting and configuring networking equipment.
Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.
Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients clearly.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with common network-related issues, including connectivity problems, latency issues, and security concerns.
Relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus but not required.
Flexibility to work in US time zones and occasional after-hours support as required.
