Role Objective
The Business Associate (L2) is responsible for generating and handling leads,
conducting client meetings, coordinating proposals, and building a strong sales
pipeline through both self-generated and assigned opportunities.
1. LEAD GENERATION (SELF + SUPPORT)

  1. The individual shall actively generate own leads through calls, references, site
    visits, and industry contacts.
  2. The individual must not depend solely on L1 and should contribute
    independently to pipeline creation.
  3. The individual shall ensure that self-generated leads are relevant, serious,
    and aligned with company business.
  4. The individual must continuously work on building a personal network of
    clients, consultants, and contractors.
  5. The individual shall maintain a record of all self-generated leads in the
    tracking system.

2. LEAD HANDLING & QUALIFICATION
6. The individual shall handle leads (self-generated + assigned) and ensure
proper qualification before proceeding.
7. The individual must identify project scope, budget, timeline, and seriousness
of the client.
8. The individual shall filter out low-potential leads to focus on high-value
opportunities.
9. The individual must ensure that all qualified leads are properly tracked and
updated.
3. CLIENT MEETINGS & INTERACTION
10. The individual shall conduct regular client meetings (online or site visits).
11. The individual must ensure proper preparation before meetings with clear
understanding of project requirements.
12. The individual shall present company profile, past work, and solutions
confidently.
13. The individual must ensure accurate capture of client requirements during
discussions.
14. The individual shall maintain strong and professional client relationships.

4. PIPELINE CREATION & MANAGEMENT

  1. The individual shall build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities with
    defined value (₹).
  2. The individual must ensure pipeline includes both:
     Self-generated leads
     Assigned leads
  3. The individual shall track each opportunity through stages:
     Lead
     Meeting
     Proposal
     Negotiation
  4. The individual must ensure no opportunity remains inactive without follow-up.
  5. The individual shall maintain minimum pipeline value as defined by
    management (typically 2–3x target).

5. PROPOSAL COORDINATION
20. The individual shall coordinate with the Cost Engineering team for proposal
preparation.
21. The individual must ensure complete and correct information is shared with
estimation team.
22. The individual shall ensure timely submission of proposals to clients.
23. The individual must review proposals before submission for accuracy and
alignment with requirement.
24. The individual shall ensure consistent follow-up after proposal submission.
6. FOLLOW-UP & CLIENT ENGAGEMENT
25. The individual shall maintain continuous follow-up at every stage of the
pipeline.
26. The individual must ensure that client communication is regular and
professional.
27. The individual shall ensure that client queries are addressed promptly.
28. The individual must manage multiple leads effectively without delay or
confusion.

7. CONVERSION SUPPORT
29. The individual shall actively support L3 and Lead in moving opportunities
towards closure.

  1. The individual must provide all required data, documents, and clarifications
    during negotiation stage.
  2. The individual shall work on reducing delays between proposal and closure
    stages.

8. REPORTING & TRACKING (WITHOUT CRM)
32. The individual shall maintain a pipeline tracking sheet (Excel) for all leads and
opportunities.
33. The individual must update status of each opportunity regularly.
34. The individual shall submit daily activity report and weekly pipeline report.
35. The individual must ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
9. INTERNAL COORDINATION
36. The individual shall coordinate with:
 Estimation team for proposals
 Design team for technical clarity
 Accounts team for commercial understanding
37. The individual must ensure smooth flow of information between client and
internal teams.
38. The individual shall avoid miscommunication or incomplete requirement
sharing.
10. PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT
39. The individual shall continuously improve client handling, negotiation
understanding, and technical knowledge.
40. The individual must aim to increase personal contribution to pipeline and
conversion.
41. The individual shall work towards progressing to L3 (closing role).
11. DISCIPLINE & COMPLIANCE
42. The individual shall follow all company sales processes and reporting
systems.
43. The individual must attend weekly review meetings and present pipeline
clearly.
44. The individual shall maintain professional discipline in all responsibilities.
